"A Very Vancouver Christmas" is an album of original Christmas/holiday music in aid of the BC-SPCA. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the charity.
In August 2006, 10 of Vancouver's most popular musicians and bands were invited to join this project. In just a few short months they wrote and recorded their own original Christmas and holiday music - the results are amazing!
"I consider many of these musicians to be the 'next generation' of Vancouver's finest and they have been hand picked because of their talent and marketability. We mixed in a few favorite's as well for name recognition, an again to showcase some of Vancouver's amazing talent.
Musical styles are varied from jazz and blues to country and indie music. All of the material is original. We are expecting radio play and hoping this will become an annual event, with live performances, as one of the goals of this project is to make these musicians and their music available to a wider, non-club-going audience. I anticipate next year's album to be even bigger as so many people want to participate in this great project!
All artists and services are donated, and, as mentioned all income from sales will be donated to the BC-SPCA. Cd's will always costs just 10$.
